We treat every cat like it’s our own
We are open for business as usual.
We have strict cleaning, antibacterial, antiviral and anti fungal regimes imposed by Defra. We continue to be aware of developing circumstances and will adhere to Government guidelines.
We will take cats from the front gate if possible so that we obey the safe distance rules. We also wipe down any card terminals, cat boxes and handles. Should you prefer to put your cats into the pen yourself, then we will allow for this by disinfecting all touchable surfaces for you, and keeping social distancing in place.
We prefer payment by bank transfer if possible.
We have seven purpose-built, secure pens, set within our beautiful, well sheltered garden, two family pens and five individual pens. We are licenced for 9 cats at any one time.
We are situated within easy reach of M1 between Junctions 38 and 39
Each chalet has 3 levels consisting of a sleeping area with ottoman bed and blanket, eating area and exercise/play area complete with litter tray, scratching post, toys and mat. The family units, have room for up to two cats.
During the summer, window panels can be removed to give the cats plenty of fresh air and sunshine. During winter time each unit has its own wall mounted heater, heated bed pad and extra blankets on their bed.
You are welcome to bring your own cat bed, toys, blanket and any other personal possession that will make your cat feel more at home during their stay with us. Please remember for their safety all cats should be in a secure carry basket on arrival and departure.
No cat can be accepted unless it has current vaccination and a vaccination card is left with us from the start of their stay. This is for safety of other cats as well as an enforcable regulation from DEFRA. Flea and parasite treatments should also be up-to-date.
The cattery was first established in 2004. Carole took ownership in July 2017 after being made redundant from office work for over 40 years, and now runs it as a sole trader alongside her son Chris, who's also known as 'The Animal whisperer!'. Because its family run we do not employ staff so have to take the occasional break which; unfortunately means closing the cattery down for a few days. We would also ask that opening times are respected, as well as for private time, it is also part of the councils condition on our planning permission.
PLEASE SEE CONDITIONS PAGE FOR CLOSE DOWN DATES
We are fully licensed with Wakefield Metropolitan District Council and Insured with Petplan. Copies of certificates can be produced on request, and are on show within the cattery.

Thank you Carole and the team at Moggy Hall, Molly thoroughly enjoyed her stay, and loves her Christmas present! She has come back to us immaculate, and clearly well cared for. See you in the New Year! Thoroughly recommended!! Jackie
My cat Moët stayed with Carole for three weeks whilst we were away. Although we were worried she would be miserable after being away for so long, she came back perfectly happy and settled really quickly. Carole gave us updates by photo / messages and let us know how she was. Carole also played with Moët each day with toys / treats to keep her happy and it’s clear she really cares about the cats in her care. By far one of the best catteries we’ve seen and we wouldn’t hesitate to use again in the future! Charlotte
Carole looked after our very sensitive cat Jaffa for a week. This was the most settled cattery visit he's had . This was 100% due to the love and attention he received . Seeing the regular Facebook photos also reassured us whilst we were away that he was happy well and interested in his surroundings. Happy to recommend and he's rebooked for another little stay .
